Time for better photographs

I mean high end smartphone cameras today are really capable at capturing great photos of gunpla and everything, not to mention very convenient, but the thing is none of smartphones at my disposal can capture the same quality as that of a DSLR camera would.

For the longest time I’ve been wanting to get myself a DSLR camera, not just for gunpla, but for a general photograhy to add to my hobby list. So last week I decided I would finally try to get my first DSLR, of course I already went through reviews to help me decide which unit to get. I chose Nikon D3400, as I see it as the most suitable DSLR for me for the following reasons:

  • An entry grade camera, perfect for beginners like me.
  • One of the affordable branded widely recognized camera out there.
  • It lacks wifi connectivity, but the bluetooth feature allows you to import captures to your smartphone anytime anywhere.
  • Video capture is at 60fps, though resolution is not yet 4k hd but I’m fine with 1080p.
  • Has all the bells and whistle of a dslr camera, full control over the adjustments of iso, aperture and shutter speed.

I haven’t using this camera much for my gunpla, as of this writing I haven’t uploaded a picture captured on this device yet, I will get to that eventually, once I finally setup my photo studio to photoshoot my built gunpla models, and hopefully start making youtube videos as well.
