The new SD Line “Cross Silhouette” has been interesting from the moment it was announced by Bandai, imagine being able to transform a regular sized SD figure into a taller SD figure with better articulation, that is the gimmick that this new Bandai product is giving us. I got bored with the SD EX Standard line so I thought I give this one a try.
So it was weekends, another opportunity for a quality time to spend with the family which basically means going to the mall and have fun. So there we went to Toys R Us store, of course a glance at the Gunpla section is always a routine for me. Looking at the selections, I noticed they got lots of stock for this newly arrived “Cross Sillhouette” SD kits and all of them have the Bandai’s 2018 Mid Year Campaign stickers.
I have seen reviews already of this new SD line and it looks like a step up from the SD-EX Standard in terms parts separation which is a very positive upside to it, plus the fact that I could be able to have two entries for the Mid Year Campaign, yeah two entries, because I will buy the actual RX-78-2 SDCS kit and the optional CS frame for it (both have the campaign stickers) even though there is an item variant that includes the two into one box.
I also managed to grab the old 1:144 Shenlong Gundam, which is I believe the only item I am missing from the old wing gundam non grade kits.
My kids also picked up their new toys.
