This time its just a one item package. What’s inside? It’s none other than The Real Grade Strike Freedom, I got it just a month after it was released, so it came just few days apart from my first package on December 2014. It took 20 days before I got the package on my local post office, I knew it would take a while because it reached the December holidays which is pretty busy time for shipping couriers. This gunpla kit marks as the first item I have ever bought from Hobby Link Japan, which is a very commendable online store for model kit hobbyists. I really like HLJ’s online store website, its easy to navigate through it, and the prices of the goods are considerably fair. HLJ is pretty popular, and I think this company found me than me finding them; I mean from reading and watching from gundam sites, forums and videos the name HLJ will come up.
Now why I bought the kit? well, the promotional campaign of this kit was really strong, and soon I fell for it. I know nothing about the Gundam Seed series, but the Real Grade trademark and the promise it potentially gives to gunpla hobbyists, plus the preview of the Strike Freedom model everywhere was enough encouragement for me to buy it, I can’t even wait for the shipping to end so I went to a local online store and bought another Real Grade kit of my own liking and chose GP01 FB, which arrived earlier than the RG strike freedom. After I straight built the FB, I got so very excited for the RG Strike Freedom. Real Grades are the top of the line kits on the 1/144 scale that Bandai has to offer, bootleg manufacturers may play catch to up to imitate these kits.
