As I grew older I always thought that Legos or any similar blocks playthings are just for kids, I do like them but not with the same affinity I have with plastic scale model kits of mechs. However, things changed when I saw this one time during some visit to a mall:

I just thought, Wow! it’s a great rendition of the pixel-bound Mario from the retro nintendo game during the 80s, how perfect it is. So I bought it, and was excited about it going home to build it, and boy was it fun to do so. Unfortunately, I didn’t think about photo capturing a proper unboxing and the actual construction of it (as I was just too focused on enjoying it). The construction guide was a bit hard to follow at first (I lost the manual, I forgot to take photos of it), as it shows progress of construction from bottom to top after every two levels of platform, but it gets easier as you go on.
The brand name or the company name responsible for this toy is called “Loz Diamond Blocks”, I haven’t done enough research on this but I know for obvious reason is that it is a Lego, or Nanoblocks knockoff made in China. The quality of a single block tile is surprisingly good, it looks sturdy enough unlike some other bootleg lego-like blocks you can find on toy stores that sell cheap stuffs. The shelf from where I first saw it also had other models, I didn’t took picture but I found this on the web:

Unfortunately, only the Mario figure attracted me the most, it’s just well done (except the side view of the figure looks strange) for such blocks to render an acceptable detailed face of Mario, as well as the frontal proportions. Other models like the ones on the picture above just didn’t do it for me, I was hoping for a better looking figures, I couldn’t help but think about Megaman, it would’ve been great to have him as this, I could build him from scratch I guess… that is, if I have an inexhaustible amount of block units of different colors, so that is what I need to do next, to find where to get these blocks for custom construction purposes.

The side view doesn't look right to me, he looks flattened.
