My 13th package: G Gundam for the win!

Nothing beats nostalgia as I rode to the post office to pick up my package that contains the 90’s goodness in it, I am talking about the five gundam from the G Gundam series… you know the Street Fighter version of the Gundam. Sure the series was inconceivable, improbable, has weird stereotyping concepts and even at worst had the most ugliest mobile suit designs ever, but I enjoyed it so much as a kid. My friends love it also that they had most fun watching me draw the characters and mobile suits on my notebooks at school, I even copied Domon’s ritual before doing the shining finger thing to the enemy, good ol’ days.

And today I have the five primary mobile suit contenders in the future century G gundam series; The Shining, Maxter, The Dragon, The Rose and The Bolt in the old non graded 1/144 scale model kits that Bandai released in 1994. These are quite old gunpla kits and to be honest the contemporary kits from the After Colony (Gundam Wing) and After War (Gundam X) that came out just 1 or 2 years after this line are pretty much better in all departments. These kits has really bad articulation considering they are what you can call a close combat mobile suits. But I didn’t want them for its model kit tech, I wanted them because they are the very kits I dreamed of having when I was a kid. My only regret is that I should have bought twice each kit, why? because this kits are getting rarer as time goes by. I will certainly wait for the next restock of this and make sure I’ll get them all.

Along with the kits are some optional parts supply for general modding purposes, there is a good chance I might use them on the G gundam kits because I am looking to modify them. You can go to the Workshop to see reviews of these optional parts and supplies as well as tools.
