Gundam Dragon is a mobile suit focusing on the power and might of a Chinese Dragon, the Dragon Gundam boasts high combat capabilities. The headpiece of the Dragon Gundam can be used as an improvised whip. Developed by the space colony of Neo China, the Dragon Gundam is assigned to Sai Saici, the young heir to the martial arts traditions of the legendary Shaolin Temple. This mobile fighter is both agile and highly adaptable, able to fight in any environment from sandy deserts to the depths of the ocean. In addition to the extendable, fire-breathing Dragon Claws built into its forearms, the Dragon Gundam is armed with twelve Feilong Flags - multipurpose beam weapons which can be used to pin down enemies, and also function as both spears and protective shields. Perhaps its sneakiest weapon is the dagger-tipped queue attached to its head, a close-range weapon which has taken more than one foe by surprise.

Another favorite of mine in the G Gundam series, Dragon Gundam's concepts has been seen in the next Gundam series that came after it, in Mobile Suit: Gundam Wing there's Gundam Shenlong and its upgrade Gundam Altron (also the Endless Waltz version Gundam Nataku), who share's a lot of similarities with Gundam Dragon, and the torso design has similarities with Wing Gundam. the After War Gundam X, also has the extending arms implement similar with Gundam Dragon in the form of Gundam Virsago. The head design of it is another winner, with added braided-like tail hair and the ancient warrior face guard makes it a cool looking close-combat mecha. The dragon feel to this Gundam is overwhelming, and is quite obvious.
